RATES FOR GENEALOGICAL & HISTORICAL RESEARCH

Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler Counties, New York State

FEE SCHEDULE: HOURLY CHARGE FOR RESEARCH..…………………………….$12.00/hr

$20.00 for first two hours, paid in advance

Additional hours will be used only after consultation with requester. I will search historical society records, genealogy records, newspaper microfilm, map studies and any other obscure sources found in the subject area.

*All travel time outside of Elmira will be charged at $10.00/hr

PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES: I will travel to and take photographs of places, homes, grave sites, cemeteries and landmarks using a digital camera. Cost to include regular hourly rate plus $3.00 per 8x10 inch glossy picture.

OLD DOCUMENT TRANSCRIPTION: Documents which can not be photocopied because of condition or the style of handwriting, may be transcribed at the rate of $8.00/hr.

PHOTOGRAPH SCANNING SERVICES: Color and black and white images and photographs can be scanned to a computer disk in IBM file formats such as BMP, PCX, JPG, and GIF. Call or write for details.

REPORTS & DOCUMENTS: All information gathered will be computer generated and printed to paper or loaded to floppy disk or both. A complete list of document and image references will be provided, and times required to do the research will be contained in each report.
